This is not one to miss!
The Autism Show London is our favourite show of the year – it is organised by parents themselves who have a child with learning disabilities, whereby the whole idea of this event is information, information, information! Being informed as parents is crucial when it comes to your child with special needs; as you will have to fight every step of the way for the right support which unfortunately is not going to fall at your feet. You must be proactive and go out to find as much information as possible. Not only that, but there are all sorts of equipment, teaching aids, technology and therapies out there for children and young people to access – it is at events such as this where you can actually see how these things work before spending your money – try before you buy!
Come and hear Paul’s presentation!
There will also be some very interesting workshops and presentations for you to sit in on throughout the course of the 2 days which you must take advantage of. Paul will be presenting as follows;
A Parent-Led Session on Transition into Adult Services
Theatre Hub 2
Saturday 11:45am – 12.05pm
There is truly so much information available at the show for people with learning disabilities, their parents/carers, and also professionals – so we really do recommend that you take the opportunity to come and see it for yourself.
Another date for your diary!
If you can’t get to London for this show, put another date in your diary for The Autism Show Manchester on Friday 27th & Saturday 28th June – this will be the second year this event has travelled to Manchester and it gives you another opportunity to gather information. We will also be at The Autism Show Manchester (stand C3) and Paul will also be giving his presentation on transition, so please do come along, hear Paul talk and visit us on our stand to talk about your special person.
