Inclusion, Independence, Choice
A new show will be held this year in Manchester called the IIC Show on 14th & 15th February 2014. This is a mixed ability/disability exhibition for the general public and professionals showcasing products, services, resources and information on every aspect concerning disabilities, including healthcare, social-care, law, leisure, mobility, technologies, education…the list goes on. IIC stands for Inclusion, Independence and Choice; 3 things which any individual no matter what their ability should have in their own life. The event will have specialist areas that will play host to interactive zones including a Multi Sensory and Interactive Learning Zone, Adaptive Sports Zone, Super Sized Mobility Car Showroom, Family Fun Inclusive Activity Area, Artistic Showcases and much more.
As well as talks and workshops coordinated by key professionals across the industry, there will be over 250 exhibitors there to provide information on their products and services for you to gather as much useful information as possible. We will be there too, so if you wish to come and have a chat with us and find out a little more about the service we created for our daughter and 61 other individuals with complex needs, please come and see us on stand F16
For us, these events are such a good way to find out about a whole range of information relating to learning disabilities all in one place. They are useful to be able to see the technologies in action, talk to the professionals who are showcasing their services and really ask those important questions which are burning on your mind at night while you are trying to sleep. Use these events to find out as much as you can. We appreciate that it is a lot of information to absorb in one day, but take the leaflets/brochures home, go back over them a few weeks later and take the time to process the information in order to make those all important decisions.
Go to http://www.iicshow.co.uk/ for more information on the event and to register for your free entry pass.
As ever, we will be more than happy to talk to you about your son/daughter, no matter what age/diagnosis, please use us to help you.
We look forward to meeting you in Manchester.
