Bill Davis and his son, Chris, who was diagnosed with autism as a toddler, have recently become viral sensations on You Tube after a video of them recently hit 20 million views. Bill and Chris are among subjects within the book “Far From the Tree”, written by Andrew Solomon, and the promotional video for this book has been doing the rounds on social media, since the video was filmed in 2012.

The journey that Bill & Chris went through will be familiar to many parents who have children with special needs, and the strong love that Bill has for Chris to progress and develop to the young man he is today is inspiring. As a parent, you do everything you have to do to support your child – being told that Chris would need to be sent to an institution was something that Bill would never accept, and their journey of setting up a school in their home and supporting Chris to now be a high school graduate is incredible.
