OXFSN a good event!
We have just come back after the OxFSN event on Saturday at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford; well organised and a great turn out of both professionals displaying information and families seeking it. With the future of funding ever changing and becoming more and more unclear and uncertain, it is through events such as these that it is possible to establish relationships with others who can help support you through the difficult times and gather information on future services looking at all the options. The future seems like such a far off concept, but believe us when we say, it comes around far too quickly! For us, one minute Laura was 12 and settled into a school regime, the next Laura turned 17 and we were looking at what was next. Any form of transition, whether from primary to secondary, secondary to college or college to adult life, requires planning and it is never too soon to start thinking about what is next.
Take a look at our “Transition” section on the blog where we look in more detail at how to navigate transition and what to start preparing for. https://www.createdbyparents.com/?cat=17
For those who we met on Saturday, again do get in touch should you need any support with your current situations or when the time to start looking at future options comes around please do give us a call and we will be happy to show you around our micro-community homes.
